Master Gardeners
The Master Gardener Program provides research-based
information on home horticulture. Trained Volunteers are prepared
to help with advice on growing plants, insect identification, managing
disease problems, and
many other horticultural topics.

than 20 plant clinics operate
throughout Pierce County during the growing season. Free workshops are
held at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden from May
through August.

Master
Gardener Training Information
Basic
Training to become a Master Gardener runs yearly, January through
March. After completion of the 60-hour course, Master Gardeners
contribute a minimum of 60 hours answering gardening questions
during the growing season.
